DIMSUM for brunch!!!!!!
What is Dim Sum?
(from Wikipedia) Dim sum is a style of Cantonese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Dim sum is also well known for the unique way it is served in some restaurants, whereby fully cooked and ready-to-serve dim sum dishes are carted around the restaurant for customers to choose their orders while seated at their tables.

At Fung's Kitchen, you can experience this dim sum served from carts on the Saturdays & Sundays from 10am to 3pm. This place is PRETTY huge, so even though you get there during the rush-brunch-hour, you get seated in ~30min. If you go a round 2pm, no wait.
Some of you may LOVE this idea and some of you may not like this idea of dim sum served from carts that much. Some of the servers/cart pushers don't speak english so sometimes it is difficult to figure out what is in that dish. Or sometimes you are waiting for certain dish and a cart carrying that dish don't show up for a while. Not all the carts carry the same item. Some carts will carry typical dim sum item like chicken bun and shrimp shumai, others may carry rice porridges or desserts or side dishes. Every time you go there, the same server/cart pushers will carry the same items. If you go there often, they will remember you too and smile back at you as they see you. (and know what we want and don't want). This is a place where you shouldn't be shy to actually walk up to the carts and look at what they are carrying :D
When you pick out the dim sum dish from the cart, each of them are either - Small, Medium, Large, or Supreme. At the end, your server will take the recorded sheet and give you the check. Our bill is usually ~$40-50 (we stuff ourselves here)
Well, I am talking too much. Let's get straight into some pictures of dim sums!

Chicken Mushroom Rice (Supreme)
2 comes in one order. This is a MUST for us. Sticky rice, chicken and mushroom are rolled up in these (lotus?) leaves. SO GOOD. It got good amount of rice in it so it fills you up!

Sweet Lotus Bun (S)
We typically end with this lovely buns! I have another favorite dessert, but that usually runs out! (I think that is the crusted egg custard). But these steamed buns are so soft & FULL of flavors! Not super sweet, but so lovely <3
